The Corona Yard is the home yard of the 7 train, a subway route that rides along one of the most diverse stretches of New York City. Dating back to 1928, the Corona Yard operates 24/7 to inspect, repair, and wash a formidable fleet of R188 subway cars used on the 7 train subway route. It is located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park near Citi Field, the National Tennis Center, and the site of the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs. Raymond DelValle, General Superintendent, leads this members-only behind-the-scenes look at the people and machinery that keep our trains on the go.

Go behind the scenes at the East 180th Street yard, the home of the 5 train, with Raymond Delvalle, Jr., General Superintendent of Millennium Lines and the 239th Street, Jerome, East 180th Street, and Corona Shops. The E. 180th Street Yard has 8 storage tracks and a 12-track shop building where all new IRT type cars are tested upon delivery. Originally constructed in 1924, the shop was renovated in the 1990s, just in time for acceptance of new R-142 cars that replaced the historic fleet of Redbird trains.
