The annual Gala is the Museum’s most important fundraiser of the year.

Friends of the New York Transit Museum, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, was established in 1995 to promote and raise funds for the Museum’s exhibitions, programs, and collections.

Each year, the Gala brings together supporters from across New York—including transit enthusiasts, civic leaders, and longtime champions of the Museum—for a festive evening celebrating the power of public transportation. This gathering plays a vital role in keeping our city’s transit stories moving forward.
