Grab a seat on a beach-bound Nostalgia Ride heading to the Rockaways! We’re celebrating summer by taking our 1930s R-1/9 vintage train cars on a trip from 96th Street-Second Avenue Station in Manhattan to Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street in Queens. Bring a picnic and take a dip in the ocean or enjoy additional rides before heading out to explore the boardwalk. Ride our vintage trains back to the city at the end of the afternoon, departing Rockaway Park at 4 pm and traveling via the A line to 175th Street in Manhattan where the trip will end, or stay for a longer day at the beach before making your own way home.

PLEASE NOTE:

• All visitors 2 years and older must wear a mask covering the mouth and nose at all times inside all stations and on vintage trains, even if you are vaccinated. No exceptions will be made. Face shields alone are not sufficient. Bandanas, scarves, gaiters, and masks with one-way valves are not adequate face coverings. 
• Nostalgia Rides run rain or shine. Equipment, route, timing and duriation are subject to change.
• The train will depart 96th Street-2nd Avenue at 10:00 am and we will travel via the Q, F and A lines to Rockaway Park.

Refunds are not available for ticketed programs. If you cannot attend, the total price of unused tickets will be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
