ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Rise and shine with the New York Transit Museum! Children with developmental disabilities or autism and their families are invited to join us in Downtown Brooklyn for a morning of free family fun. Discover the Museum before we open to the public at 10:00 and participate in special transit-themed activities led by Transit Museum staff. Let’s have a Special Day together!
Feel the beat at Special Day! Join a jam session on a train car with an interactive song writing workshop, then create your own instrument using found objects and rock out! Dance the day away with a live musician on our museum platform. Listen out for sounds of the subway and complete a Search and Find activity all through the museum. A quiet room will be available for anyone who would like a sensory break.
All ages welcome! Admission to this program is FREE and advance registration is required. After registering you will receive 2 emails: a confirmation email and an email with your e-tickets for the event.
Accessibility:
A social narrative will be emailed to registrants in advance of the program for your family to learn more about the activities and what to expect during this event.
