ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Free Family Event:

Rise and shine with the New York Transit Museum! Children with developmental disabilities or autism and their families are invited to join us in Downtown Brooklyn for a morning of free family fun. Discover the Museum before we open to the public at 10am and participate in special transit-themed activities led by Transit Museum staff. Let’s have a Special Day together!

Come have a wild time at Special Day: Transit Tails edition! Keep an eye out for horses, turtles, and walruses—oh my!—and complete a Search and Find activity all through the Museum. Inspired by the furry friends we share our city with, make an animal paper doll to star in your transit tales. Then enjoy a live puppet show featuring sea creatures who found a new home on underwater subway cars. A quiet room will be available for anyone who would like a sensory break.

All ages welcome! Admission to this program is FREE and advance registration is required. After registering you will receive 2 emails: a confirmation email and an email with your e-tickets for the event.
