Grab a seat on a beach-bound Nostalgia Ride heading to the Rockaways! Celebrate summer by riding 1930s R1/9 vintage train cars on a trip from 96th Street-Second Avenue station in Manhattan to Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street in Queens. Bring a picnic and take a dip in the ocean, or enjoy an additional ride before heading out to explore the boardwalk. Ride the vintage trains back to the city at the end of the afternoon, departing Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street at 3pm and traveling back to 96th Street-Second Avenue station in Manhattan where the trip will end, or stay for a longer day at the beach before making your own way home.
Members enjoy early access! Tickets go on sale to Museum members on Tuesday, June 10th at 10am ET. Remaining tickets go on sale to the public Thursday, June 12th at 10am ET.
Ticket prices: $60 adult and $40 child 17 years and under
Member ticket prices: $50 adult and $30 child 17 years and under
Nostalgia Rides run rain or shine. Equipment, route, timing, and duration are subject to change. The ride will last about 90-120 minutes.
The train will depart 96th Street-2nd Avenue at 10am and we will travel to Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street.
Children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Photography and video recording are permitted. However, tripods, stands, selfie sticks, and external lights may not be used. All photographs taken are for personal use only and permission to photograph may be revoked at any time.

All ticket sales are final. Should you be unable to attend the program on the date you reserved, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Museum is not able to provide refunds or reschedule reservations to another date.
