Build Your Own Subway Car — a hands-on workshop with QuietGround Learning
After touring the New York Transit Museum’s collection of historic and modern subway cars, students head to the workshop to build their own wooden model train inspired by what they’ve just seen. Working with real materials and real tools (wood, screws and screwdrivers, some light hammering, and paint), each student designs and constructs a car of their own, drawing on details from the collection.
Quietground Learning designs hands-on enrichment centered on craftsmanship, focus, and fair play — structured, screen-free making that welcomes every learner, including neurodiverse students and those with sensory sensitivities.

Museum admission is included in the price of the workshop.
