All aboard!
Join us for a special edition Movers and Makers with Quietground Learning! Build your own model train car inspired by the Transit Museum’s holiday train show. Families will work with real materials and real tools–we’ll construct and decorate our own rolling stock, and then playtest them on our model rails. These train cars, fixed with linking magnets and wide enough to run of Brio tracks, will be ready to join your fleet at home
Quietground Learning designs hands-on enrichment centered on craftsmanship, focus, and fair play — structured, screen-free making that welcomes every learner, including neurodiverse students and those with sensory sensitivities.
Movers and Makers takes place on the second Sunday of each month, 2pm-3:30pm
New York Transit Museum, Brooklyn, Education Center
Designed for families with children ages 5 to 14.
Fee: $20 per adult, $10 per child (10% discount for Family level members and above. Museum admission is included in the price of the workshop.)
Please note: This is not a drop-off program. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult caregiver.
