  • Event Date Thursday, September 22, 2016

  • Time: 6pm-8:30pm ET
  • New York Transit Museum, Brooklyn

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Recent disasters and limited infrastructure investment have led to many public transportation challenges in many of the most used systems in the country. From the L-train construction in the near future to the DC SafeTrack closures of the last few months, governments are stretching for creative solutions to solve shortages and for alternatives to diversify transportation systems to prevent future shortages.

Join Joseph Leader (Chief Operating Officer, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority), Jay Krantz (Director, Rail Network Planning, MTA), Thomas DeVito (Director or Organizing, Transportation Alternatives), and moderator Inna Guzenfeld (water mass transit advocate) for a discussion  focused on current infrastructure challenges in New York City and Washington DC and increasingly diverse solutions including ferries, pedestrian focused streetscapes, and BRT services.

Presented in partnership with Transportation Camp NYC 2016
