Virtual Program

Founded in 1985, MTA Arts & Design was created to bring artwork into some of the busiest transportation hubs in the world, offering passengers the chance to slow down and engage with contemporary art amidst their journeys. Ten years ago, the Digital Art program was introduced, expanding the concept to include dynamic art forms like animation and video, showcased on screens in Fulton Transit Center and Grand Central Madison.

Join MTA Arts & Design curators and project managers Bridget Donlon and Andrew Gardner to learn more about the first decade of Digital Art commissions, with a special look at artworks featured at the Fulton Transit Center, by artists including Motomichi Nakamura, Sarah Rothberg & Marina Zurkow, and Ezra Wube.
