Stop by the Education Center to explore our February theme of maps, with transit-themed puzzles, books, toys, and building materials! Think about all the places you go and design your own subway or bus map. Ages 2-5 and accompanying adults
HISTORY ON WHEELS 11:30 am-12:30pm and 2:30-3:30 pm
Make discoveries and learn fun facts about public transportation through handling materials, including some wonderful maps from transit history. For all ages
A MOST IMPROBABLE SUBWAY MAP 1:30-2:30pm
A New York City subway line that ends in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? A subway line with a stop every two blocks? We’ll think about what’s ideal and not such a good idea when designing a subway, then create a map for a most improbable subway system! Ages 5+ and accompanying adults
