Come celebrate as MTA Bridges and Tunnels turns 90! Join archivists Mary Hedge and Nellie Hankins for a look behind the scenes and into the MTA Bridges and Tunnels Special Archive. Learn the story of the development of the region’s east river crossings through photos, maps, drawings, and artifacts, and explore the past of Bridges and Tunnels seven bridges and two tunnels. From its founding in 1933, through the Robert Moses era and the integration into the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the story of MTA Bridges and Tunnels reflects the story of New York itself.
