Location Shoots

Showcase New York City’s rich transit history at one of its most unique filming locations. Housed in a decommissioned 1936 subway station, the New York Transit Museum offers an authentic setting for film and photo productions that highlight the city’s past and present.

The New York Transit Museum is currently accepting filming requests, with availability on Mondays and Tuesdays only. To begin the process, please complete our online Film Request Form and allow up to five (5) business days for a response. Requests must be submitted at least three (3) weeks prior to your desired filming date.

Please note:

  • Old City Hall Station is not open to the public and is unavailable for filming.
  • If your production requires moving trains or track access, you must contact the MTA Office of Film & Special Events directly.
  • All productions are subject to our standard fees and insurance requirements. We cannot accommodate student films, or waive or reduce our rates.
  • For wedding and engagement photoshoots, please fill out this request form.
  • At this time, the Museum is not accepting event rental requests. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to check back for any future updates.
