Support the Holiday Train Show!
The New York Transit Museum’s annual Holiday Train Show in our Gallery at Grand Central Terminal enchants railfans big and small, with eight model trains zipping through a miniature New York City on their way to the North Pole. Watch a model 20th Century Limited train speed past your favorite landmarks, like the Chrysler Building or Grand Central itself – and look for special surprises: can you find Sasquatch on the sidewalk?
Be a part of this treasured holiday tradition!
Your support makes it possible to keep the Holiday Train Show open to the public seven days a week from November through February. Your gift this year will help us build new additions for our tiny New York, like the Lenox Lounge and Katz’s Deli, and continue our commitment to commissioning original artwork as a backdrop for the show. The 2019 artist is acclaimed cartoonist Julia Wertz, author of Tenements, Towers & Trash: An Unconventional Illustrated History of New York City.
Friends of the New York Transit Museum, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1995 to raise funds in support of New York Transit Museum activities.
