World War I Living History Day

Learn how World War I impacted New Yorkers at home and abroad with living historians at the Transit Museum! Explore classic subway cars that were on the tracks when Doughboys fought in the Great War, speak with reenactors from the East Coast Doughboys portraying men and women in uniform, view and handle objects representing new technology of the era, listen to period music on century-old phonographs with Michael Cumela, and learn about life during World War I.


Presented in partnership with the World War I Centennial Committee for New York City.


Registration is not required for this drop-in program.
