For nearly 100 years Coney Island has been one of Brooklyn’s most iconic destinations. For creative photographers interested in documenting New York City’s people, landscape, and attractions, Coney Island has proved a rich subject for nearly as long. Join photographers Elaine Norman, Larry Racioppo, Doug Ross, and Norman Borden in conversation with the Transit Museum’s Associate Curator Jodi Shapiro for a discussion on Coney Island’s transformation as seen through their cameras’ lenses.
Presented in conjunction with the exhibit Five Cents to Dreamland: A Trip to Coney Island, now on view at the Transit Museum in Downtown Brooklyn.
