ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

New Yorkers had never seen anything like Superstorm Sandy, a storm that tested riders, transit workers, and infrastructure in unprecedented ways. On the fifth anniversary of the historic storm, learn about how lessons learned from previous disasters helped New York prepare for Sandy, and how transit workers’ ingenuity brought the system back far more quickly than many had predicted. This guided tour will focus on the exhibit Bringing Back the City: Mass Transit Responds to Crisis, revealing the critical role that mass transit personnel play in preparing for and responding to natural and man-made disasters.
