Cover of the book Keeping the City Going by Brian Floca. A delivery worker rides a bicycle on a City street, along with a truck and an ambulance.

“There are still some people out on the streets,

driving this and that, heading from here to there.

They might be family, friends, or strangers.

They’re there because we need them.

They’re the people keeping the city going.”

Join us online for a behind-the-scenes look at Keeping the City Going, Brian Floca’s beautiful new picture book that pays tribute to the essential workers, including public transit workers, who have been helping New Yorkers through the past year.
